Salt Lake City Stars to Host Kids Day Feb. 8

SALT LAKE CITY (February 3, 2017) – On Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Salt Lake City Stars will host a matinee game for fans and more than 600 youth, as part of their Kids Day. The Stars will face the Los Angeles D-Fenders at 11 a.m. at Lifetime Activities Center-Bruin Arena on the Salt Lake Community College campus in Taylorsville.

As part of the team’s first-ever Kids Day, the Stars have partnered with STEM Action Center Utah and Discovery Gateway to provide fun and educational opportunities throughout the game. The STEM magician will perform at halftime, while other in-game activities will focus on how science, technology, engineering and math relate to basketball and sports.

“We are excited to team up with the STEM Action Center of Utah and Discovery Gateway,” said Stars General Manager Bart Sharp. “The game’s atmosphere will be high energy with the help of these partners as we combine a meaningful and educational experience for the students with the excitement of professional basketball.”
